The state’s Commissioner for Technology Development, Nze Meekam Mgbenwelu, who disclosed this while speaking with newsmen on the programme in Owerri, yesterday, said it was part of the state government’s efforts to boost the development of a technology eco-system in the state.
Besides, he said 500 youths in the state were currently undergoing a three-month internship on ICT and software developing courses in partnership with a technology group, Tech Startup Hotels Nigeria (HNG).
He said that the participants, drawn through a transparent and online registration process, would be issued an international recognised certificate and various prizes at the end of the programme. (The Guardian)
