A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Lagos, Joe Igbokwe, has made the list of cabinet nominees of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
This comes a day after Igbokwe had said that anyone with the “insinuation that President Buhari’s government has not done well is ‘a liar from the pit of hell’ during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today – a comment which has since sparked controversy.
The final list of nominees was transmitted to the State House of Assembly on Tuesday, four weeks after the Governor had sent the first batch of nominees list for screening.
This was disclosed in a statement issued by his Deputy Chief Press Secretary, Gboyega Akosile.
According to him, 13 Commissioner-and Special Adviser-designates made the second list.
“The second list had names of accomplished politicians and technocrats who “understand the current need of Lagos” and the development agenda of the Governor,” Akosile said.
He further explained that the selection process was rigorous, “because of the need to constitute the best team that would serve Lagos in line with the Sanwo-Olu administration’s vision of delivering a city-state that will rank among the top most liveable cities in the world”.
Below are names in the second batch of nominees:
1. MR. OLADELE AJAYI
2. MR. OLUWATOYIN FAYINKA
3. MRS. YETUNDE AROBIEKE
4. MR. OLANREWAJU SANUSI
