The chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Dr. Michael Ejueyitsi Tidi, has condoled with people of Okere-Urhobo kingdom, Warri, over what he described as the shock demise of their Orosuen, Prof. Paul Oghenero Okumagba, Idama II.

Dr. Tidi, who was deeply saddened by the report of the monarch’s transition, recalled Prof. Okumagba’s academic exploit at Delta State University, Abraka and the role he played towards enhancing educational standard of the state owned institution.

The Warri South Local Government Area chairman enjoined people of Okere-Urhobo to take solace in the fact that the departed monarch, left a legacy of academic excellence, integrity and leadership by humility.

He enjoined Okere-Urhobo indigenes to sustain the prevailing peace in the kingdom and other parts of Warri South Local Government Area, stressing that it is only peace that can guarantee the much needed development and attract investors.

Until his ascension to the throne in October 2017, late Professor Okumagba, who is the first monarch of Okere-Urhobo to receive a Staff of Office from Delta State Government, was a Professor of Sociology at the Delta State University, Abraka.
