The Anambra State Commissioner of Police, Mr. John Abang, on Wednesday gave the assurance that he would offer his maximum cooperation to sustain the existing partnership between the Police and the media.

He made the pledge during a courtesy visit to the state chapter of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) in Awka, the state capital.

The visit, which was in continuation of his familiarisation tour of sister agencies, including the media in the state, was used as a platform to discuss security issues as it concerns the state.

Addressing journalists at the Godwin Ezeemo Press Center, Abang hailed journalists for showcasing the achievements of the Command and projecting her positive image while urging them not to relent in drawing his attention to any act of misconduct by his men to enable the command take prompt action.

The CP was warmly received by the NUJ Chairman, Mr. Emmanuel Ifesinachi, and other members of the union executive.
