Ogun State Government Tuesday constituted a committee to review the contracts and projects embarked upon by the immediate past governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun.

The committee, chaired by President of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Engr. Adekunle Mokuolu, is to probe the contracts and projects carried out by Amosun in the twilight of his administration.

The Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi, who disclosed this in a statement signed by him, said the committee includes 10 other members.

Talabi stated that the panel is expected to identify all outstanding significant construction/projects in the state and ascertain whether or not there was budgetary provision for them in the budget estimates for the year under review.

The SSG said the committee’s terms of reference included ascertaining the process of award of contracts in line with the established procedures and necessary regulations. (New Telegraph)
