Chief Ebenezer Babatope, a former Minister for Transport, on Tuesday, appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari to urgently address the worsening economic situation in the country, saying Nigerians are dying of hunger.

Babatope, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Board of Trustees also said the ministerial announced by the Senate is a departure of what President Buhari said when he promised to appoint only those he knows.

“Why is Buhari claiming that he will appoint only those he knows? Does he know all of these people?”

“Anyway, I am not interested in his ministerial list because there is hunger in the land. People are very hungry and that makes me not to be interested in any list he is bringing out” he said. (Independent)
