It was a moment of glory for Nigeria at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Egypt on Saturday evening when the country’s senior national team, the Super Eagles, shot down defending champions Indomitable Lions of Cameroun to power into the quarter-finals.
Man of the match Odion Ighalo put Nigeria ahead in the 19th minute but two quick goals before half time handed the advantage to Cameroun.
However, Nigeria triumphed with two quick second half goals – the first by Ighalo, who then laid foe Alex Iwobi to stab home to end the game at 3-2.
