There was a rowdy session at the House of Representatives on Wednesday over the announcement of minority leadership positions.
The incident broke out after Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila, ignored a letter by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) nominating Kingsley Chinda as the Minority Leader of the House.
He rather announced Ndudi Elumelu as Minority Leader – a situation that led to protests as some aggrieved lawmakers said they will not accept a situation where the majority in the house will impose a minority leader on members. (Channels TV)
