Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, Prof. Isaac Folorunso Adewole, has challenged Muslims to imbibe the lessons of obedience to the will of God, piety, humility, perseverance, good neighbourliness, charity and love as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim and his son, Prophet Ismail.
Prof. Adewole threw the challenge yesterday in a bulletin issued by the University’s Director of Public Communication, Mr. Olatunji Oladejo.
He congratulated all Muslims in the university community, and across the entire country, on the occasion of today’s Eid-el-Kabir.
Wishing them a blissful celebration, Prof. Adewole said: “Let us use this celebration as an opportunity to strengthen our bond of unity, so as to live in peace and harmony as one people, and move our country forward.”
