A Pentecostal Pastor in Lagos, South-West Nigeria, has offered President Goodluck Jonathan the worst possible New Year present by advising him o resign.

Pastor Lovina Amangala Iburene of The Truth Ministry/The True Lovers of Christ World Charity Ministry, Lekki, Lagos, said in a poster she sent to News Express:

“My new Year Message To Nigerian President Goodluck:

You are too weak to steer the ship of the Nation

We are tired of your encouraging the killings of Christians by your silence and general lawlessness.”

This is one New Year gift which will definitely not put a smile on the face of President Jonathan, especially as it is coming from his kinswoman. Like Jonathan, Pastor Iburene, who is well known for her battles with spiritualist Olumba Olumba Obu, is an Ijaw from Bayelsa State in Nigeria’s Niger Delta.

Iburene’s shocking message came just as Jonathan was still trying to come to terms with the tirade of foremost Ijaw activist, Alhaji Mujaheed Dokubo Asari, who has in the past few weeks torn the Nigerian leader into shreds for alleged misrule and for allegedly biting the fingers that once fed him.
