Weather outlook for Wednesday, May 8

•Cloudy weather

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about Nigeria’s weather condition for today, Wednesday, May 8, 2019:

NORTHERN STATES: Partly cloudy condition are likely over the northern states with chances of thunderstorms over Sokoto, Yelwa, Gusau, Bauchi, Kano and Katsina axis in the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the ranges of 38 – 46℃ and 26 – 29℃respectively.

CENTRAL STATES: Partly cloudy to cloudy condition are anticipated over the region with prospects of thunderstorms over Abuja, Jos, Minna, Bida, Ilorin and Jalingo axis in the afternoon/evening hours . Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 33 – 37℃ and 21 – 28℃respectively.

SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy morning is envisaged over the region with exception of Eket, Calabar and Port Harcourt axis where morning thunderstorm/rains are likely. Later in the day, thunderstorms are expected over the entire region. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the ranges of 32 – 35℃ and 21 – 26℃ respectively.
