The lawmaker representing Lagelu/Akinyele Federal Constituency, Olatoye Temitope Sugar, has been reportedly shot in the eye during the ongoing gubernatorial and House of Assembly elections in Oyo State.

Reports said he was hurriedly rushed to the University College Hospital (UCH) Ibadan for medical attention but died shortly afterwards.

The lawmaker was elected into the Oyo State House of Assembly in 2011 under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
