Welcome to the live commentary of the 2019 Nigerian Presidential election held last Saturday, February 23.

The collation of results started late this morning at the National Collation Centre located at the International Conference Centre, Abuja, declared open on Sunday night by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Mahmoud Yakubu.

The collation of results was originally scheduled to start earlier yesterday but Prof. Yakubu explained that the process could not begin as none of the State Collation Officers had arrived Abuja with the results of the election.
