There was a stir online on Friday when a photo showing President Muhammadu Buhari’s son, Yusuf Buhari, allegedly at the campaign rally of former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, went viral.

Atiku is the Presidential Candidate of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and main rival of Buhari, the Presidential Candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for the February 16, 2019 election.

Those sharing the photo claimed that it showed Yusuf taking pictures with Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki – Director General of the Atiku Obi Presidential campaign Organisation – and other supporters of the party.

They claimed that the photo was taken on Friday afternoon in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State capital.

Investigations by News Express, however, showed that Yusuf Buhari was nowhere near Abakaliki when Atiku’s campaign locked down the town yesterday.
