Scores of innocent people are feared dead in a deadly bomb explosion that devastated NNPC Mega Station, Hotoro Quarters, along Maiduguri Road, in Kano, the commercial nerve centre of northern Nigeria.

Details are not yet available of the blast which has fouled the mood at the height of the Eid-el-Fitri celebration.

The incident signifies the resurgence of terrorism in the state.

Just yesterday, bomb explosions rocked three different parts of the state capital, the most devastating being the one that killed at least five people and injured eight others at the Catholic Church in the Sabon Gari area of town.
