The Bauchi State Government on Wednesday announced the lifting of the curfew imposed weeks ago on Yelwan Tsakani, Unguwan Kusu, Unguwan Angas, Lushi and Kagadama parts of the state.
A statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Muhammad Nadada Umar, said the decision followed “the relative peace being enjoyed within and around the crisis areas.”
He said the lifting of the curfew was with immediate effect, adding: “The people are therefore advised to go about with their normal businesses. However, Government will continue to monitor the situation closely.”
