Super Eagles Head Coach, Stephen Keshi, is a happy man and for good reason. His team’s training programme is not only progressing as planned but he also enjoys total support from his employers, the Nigeria Football Federation.

Speaking at the team’s Bolton White Apartment abode in Abuja, the Nigerian capital, the Super Eagles’ chief tactician thanked the NFF for having given him “100 per cent support” and prayed for that to continue all the way to the Africa Nations Cup holding January 19 to February 10.

Keshi however appealed to those who love to sow the seed of division in the team to back off and allow them to concentrate on the task on hand.

“The entire team needs absolute concentration but everyday there are reports about divisions in the team and several other negative stories and that is not good for the type of team we want to build for the Nations Cup,” he said.

The number of players in camp swelled by one last night as Fegor Ogude of Velaranga of Norway, the only foreign-based player so far invited, breezed into camp and joined the team’s training this morning. Fegor had been given permission to report a day late following news of his wife’s delivery.

It has however been confirmed that Heartland’s Kalu Orji, who is down with an injury, will not be able to make the camp. Keshi (see photo) has extended an invitation to Lobi Stars Bassey Ezekiel to replace him and bring the number of invited players to 24.
