Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) House of Representatives candidate for Bende federal constituency seat in the 2019 general election, Dr. Chima Anyaso, has unveiled his manifesto containing plans and programs and the developmental goals which he hopes to pursue if elected to represent his constituency at the Federal House of Representatives in 2019.

In a manifesto presentation ceremony and dinner event held yesterday at the prestigious Civic Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos, the Igbere-born businessman assured his audience, which was made up of mainly business executives, that he would bring development to Bende through effective legislative intervention.

On his plans for the development of his federal constituency, Agbaso said it will be anchored on five cardinal areas of needs and these are education, healthcare, roads, and infrastructure development, ecological and environmental interventions and youth empowerment and agricultural development.

He described his journey into politics as one driven by the desire to change the narrative and to provide an alternative voice for the youths.

The 38 years old aspirant described the lack of interest in politics by youths as responsible for the dominance of the political space by very old and tired politicians who are due for retirement. He regretted the fact that not too many young Nigerians, like himself, are ready to take the leap into politics but said he would see to it that such would no longer be the case when eventually elected.

Highly placed political office holders and stakeholders in Abia State politics, led by the Deputy Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Cosmos Ndukwe Ph.D. who described Anyaso as the new face of politics in Abia and indeed Nigeria, were present at the manifesto presentation. Several other Bende-born business leaders who are based in Lagos and across other parts of Nigeria, were also in attendance.
