Former Governor of Ogun state,  Otunba Gbenga Daniel, has emerged 2018 Yoruba man of the year, event packaged by Omoluwabi Leadership Reporters, third edition of the award being put together to honour distinguished Yoruba personalities.

Popularly called OGD by his supporters, the 2018 awardee will be decorated in an elaborate ceremony on Sunday, 16th December, 2018, at the University of Ibadan International Conference Centre Ibadan, Oyo State.

According to the Award Governing Board under the chairmanship of Professor David Adeyemo, “the YORUBA-MAN-OF-THE-YEAR Award is one distinguished award reserved for prominent sons and daughters of the Yoruba race who have through their life accomplishments, portrayed and extolled the virtues and values of true sons and daughters of the race.”

The award was founded as a platform to project the well deserving recipients to further encourage and sensitize the young coming generations on preserving our rare values as a race through selfless service and conduct that are contributory to the preservation of the Yoruba ancestry as well as development of the nation.
