President of Guinea Bissau, Jose Mario Vaz, on Thursday, visited President Muhammadu Buhari at the presidential villa in Abuja.
President Mario Vaz during the official visit held a closed-door meeting with President Buhari.
At the end of the meeting, he told journalists that the purpose of his visit was to seek advice from President Buhari concerning the postponed elections in Guinea Bissau.
He added that the meeting was fruitful and that he is encouraged by the counselling he received from President Buhari.
Nigeria and Guinea Bissau have enjoyed a mutual relationship for several years even as both countries belong to the same regional bloc, Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
