Super Eagles Coach Stephen Keshi has disowned a Facebook account purportedly operated by him. The account bears his name and also has a nice photo in which Keshi is smiling broadly. It posts relevant information on the Nigerian senior national football team, thus making people to believe that Keshi is indeed the one uploading the information.
Last night, the fake Stephen Keshi posted: “Further changes possible,” thus suggesting that he was considering making late changes to his Brazil 2014 World Cup team following unconvincing performances in friendly matches against Scotland and Greece.
Believing that this was from the authentic Keshi, friends reacted enthusiastically, praising him and offering suggestions on players to drop and those to bring into the team.
Keshi, however, disowned the Facebook account this morning, stressing that he has nothing to do with it. Speaking through his brother, Emmanuel Ado, the Big Boss told News Express: “Keshi has no Facebook account. We don’t know those behind it. We have tried to get Facebook to close it but without success.”
Ado added that Keshi is also not on Twitter and is, indeed, not on any social network. “The only thing he has is his e-mail account,” Ado said. “You can quote me on that,” he added.
