A woman, Juliet Igbodo, on Saturday died after engaging in a fight with her husband, Chinasa Nnorom, in Nnewi, Anambra State.

The fight, it was gathered, was triggered by a quarrel over an undisclosed issue.

However, shortly after the couple were separated from the fight, his wife started vomiting blood, and foaming in her mouth.

The deceased was said to have been rushed to a hospital close to their home in Otolo Nnewi where she was confirmed dead by a doctor on duty.

Sources said the body of late Juliet has been deposited at the morgue while autopsy is awaited.

Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, Haruna Mohammed, said that police detectives attached to Nnewi Central Police Station have visited the area and taken on-the-spot assessment.

He said: “Our men have visited the place and photograph obtained and suspect arrested. Case is under investigation after which suspect would be charged to court for prosecution.”
