The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has released the former Director General of the Department of State Services (DSS), Ita Ekpenyong, after a former Chief Security Officer (CSO) to President Muhammadu Buhari, Abdurahman Mani, and a former DSS Director, Mike Ejiofor, took his bail.

News Express learnt that Ekpenyong, who was invited for questioning by EFCC early on Thursday, was allowed to go home around 7:30 p.m.

It was further confirmed that Ejiofor, Mani and all other directors of the DSS who were in Abuja on Thursday moved over to the EFCC headquarters on hearing of Ekpenyong’s arrest.

They were also said to be in Ekpenyong’s residence before the arrival of EFCC operatives and they stayed with him through the search and interrogation.
