Three young men were struck dead during a thunderstorm which occurred after a downpour in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State.

The incident was said to have happened about 3:00pm along the former Gateway Hotel Annex in Ijebu-Ode.

Though the identities of the victims could not be immediately ascertained, New Telegraph learnt that one person escaped unhurt during the thunderstorm.
Some policemen who visited the scene left without removing the corpses as well as a bag allegedly belonging to one of the deceased.

When contacted on telephone, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said he had not got details about the incident.
