NiMet forecasts cloudy Thursday, with prospects of isolated thunderstorms and rains

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Thursday, May 24, 2018:

NORTHERN STATES: Cloudy to partly cloudy conditions are expected over this region in the morning hours. There are prospects of isolated thunderstorms over places like Maiduguri, Yola and Nguru axis during the afternoon/evening period. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the ranges of 33 – 40℃ and 24 – 28℃ respectively.

CENTRAL STATES: Cloudy morning is anticipated over the region with prospect of isolated thunderstorms over, Jalingo, Mambila Plateau and Ibi. Localised Thunderstorms are expected over places like Jos, Bauchi, Abuja, Kaduna and Lafia axis during the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 20 – 36℃ and 20 – 26℃ respectively except for Jos 25/16℃.

SOUTHERN STATES: Increase cloudiness is expected over this region with possibility of localised rain over the coastal cities and the inland areas of the South East in the morning hours. Later in the afternoon/evening period, localised rain showers are expected over the region. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 30℃ – 36℃ and 20℃ – 26℃ respectively.
