2019: ADP has what it takes to win Delta State, says Esanubi

The Action Democratic Party (ADP) Governorship aspirant in Delta State, Comrade Frank Ufuoma Esanubi, has declared that his party has all it takes to win the forthcoming governorship elections in Delta come March 2018.

Comrade Esanubi stated this during fundraising dinner organised in his honour at the Oakwood Park Hotel, Lekki Lagos State, on Friday.

The event which was put together by a committee of friends from the oil and gas industries especially Chevron and PENGASAN in order to raise funds to support one of their own in his quest to contest for the forthcoming governorship elections.

In his speech, Udolu Paul Ovuokerie extolled the leadership qualities of Comrade Esanubi noting that he is a man who they all believed in and a man who has all it takes to deliver Delta State from the hands of tired and expired politicians. He also disclosed that gone are the days when people look at what an aspirant will give them rather they should contribute towards the project.

In her submission, Mrs. Kate Anyadimaju described Comrade Esanubi as a man that is focused, smart and purposeful having achieved much as Chevron Branch Chairman of PENGASAN and later National Deputy President even at his youthful age. She urged Deltans to give Comrade Esanubi the opportunity as it is time for the youths to take over.

Also speaking, Comrade Elder Uzo Nwosu disclosed that Delta State is far behind in terms of infrastructural development despite all the huge resources coming to the State. He decried the decayed state of the oil-rich State and declared that it is only people with high level of integrity like Comrade Esanubi that can manage the resources coming to the state.

Earlier in his presentation, Comrade Frank Esanubi did a SWOT Analysis of his party and their chances of winning the forthcoming election. He noted that the strength of the party drawn from its fresh personalities, the new party which has not failed the people before and their undented reputation will work in their favour. He also disclosed that they are not unmindful of weaknesses such as fielding in relatively unknown personalities, a weak party structure and lack of funds promising that the party is working hard to overcome these challenges. He equally mentioned the opportunities that abound for them such as the general apathy of Nigerians towards the existing major political parties, the ruling party at state level different from the one at federal and expected decamped members of these parties as a result of fallout from their primary elections. The threats, according to the gubernatorial aspirant, include political equation, election rigging and thuggery which his party has set out mechanism to handle.

In all, it was agreed by all to join hands with Comrade Frank Ufuoma Esanubi in this project as this is the time to chase the old and expired politicians out of the affairs of this nation.

In a related development, Comrade Frank Ufuoma Esanubi also felicitated with Nigerian workers on the occasion of May Day celebration.

In a press release this morning, the governorship hopeful promised to tackle the issue of unemployment if he becomes the governor in the forthcoming general elections. He also assured those already employed that their salaries will be paid on or before 25th of every month.

Comrade Esanubi who is a great advocate of the autonomy and independence to LGA, stressed that it will bring about regular and timely payment of the salaries of primary school teachers and other LG council workers.

He also called on executive councils of TUC & NLC and other trade unions to sensitize their members to obtain their PVC as that is the only way to enthrone leaders that will protect their interest.

Comrade Esanubi, who is a foremost trade unionist, used the opportunity of the Workers Day celebration to advise the National minimum wage committee to expedite work to lead to new minimum wage for Nigerian workers.
