Today’s Weather: NiMet forecasts thick dust haze, sunny to partly cloudy conditions

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Friday, March 30 2018:


NORTHERN STATES: Thick dust haze conditions are expected over this region throughout the forecast period. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the ranges of 36 – 40 and 20 – 26 respectively. 

CENTRAL STATES: Hazy to Partly cloudy conditions are anticipated over most part of this region except Kogi and Makurdi axis where sunny to partly cloudy conditions are expected. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 35 – 39 and 22 – 26 respectively, except over Jos where 31oC /20 day and night temperatures are expected.

SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy conditions are expected to prevail in the morning. Later there are prospect of localised thunderstorms over southwest inland and the coastal cities during the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 31 – 37 and 21 – 26 respectively.
