National Leader of the Biafra Nations Youth League (BNYL), Princewill Obuka Richard, has disclosed plans by his group to resume grassroots campaign for the realisation of Biafra.
Princewill, who has lied low for the past weeks due to the death of his father, Eze Richard O. Ekegbu, Eze Ndigbo of Obigbo, Rivers State (buried on March 22) told newsmen in Owerri, the Imo State capital, that the struggle for Biafra is still on “despite intimidation of our supporters”.
The BNYL Leader warned that the situation in Nigeria such as the attacks by herdsmen could get out of hand “if Nigeria is not divided”.
Obuka condemned the secret trial of three members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) arrested along with the group’s leader, Nnamdi Kanu. The BNYL Leader maintained that the agitation for Biafra is not against the law.
