An Ilorin-based cleric, Al-Ameen Abdulkadri, has enjoined Muslims to shun acts that are contrary to Islamic doctrines, to prevent Allah’s wrath.
Abdulkadri gave the advice in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday in Ilorin.
According to him, one is better placed to receive the blessings and mercies of Allah, when one complies with His commandments.
“Worshipping idols, womanising and drinking of alcohol among other vices, are not approved by Allah.
“Muslims should distance themselves from acts that will take them far away from the Deen.
“Shirk is what can take Muslims away from doing what is expected, and lift a Muslim into what God abhors in its totality,” he said.
The cleric admonished Muslims to avoid involvement in idolatry because they want to get rich.
He said that only Allah grants wealth.
Abdulkadri advised Muslims to seek Allah’s counsel in all their affairs, rather than going to soothsayers for protection, wealth and health. (NAN)
