SkyeXperience: Aligning memorable experience with customer’s lifestyle
The Group Managing Director/CEO, Skye Bank Plc, Mr. Tokunbo Abiru, has re-emphasised the bank’s commitment to providing its online stakeholders with accurate, relevant and timely information at all times. The campaign is one of the strategic efforts in this direction.
Mr. Abiru stated this while reacting to the bank’s performance at the Web Jurist Awards, noting that, “industry leadership in the digital space” is one of Skye Bank’s value propositions to its customers and as such our digitisation initiative and journey is intended to instill a memorable experience that aligns with the lifestyle of our online customers.”
Skye Bank Plc has continued to ride high on its recently unveiled campaign tagged “You are in Control”. Launched about two months ago, the TVC is designed to leverage the bank’s robust, onmi-channel SkyeXperience platform and reinforce its growing pedigree in the use of technology in superseding the expectations of its growing customer base.
The campaign which has been controlling the airwaves in the last two months, reinforces the ethos of the business truism, “Customer is King”. “You are in Control” as the theme, recognises the position of the bank’s customers as the new power point in moving the bank to its next level in service and products development aimed at delighting the customers.
Opening with fascinating cartoon animation frames, the TVC commences on an aspirational note, “Imagine a bank that allows you to bank; when, where and how you want to, no matter the device you use”, it flows into a family setting denoting that the tech enabled multi services platform could be used for a variety of reasons by different classes of customers while ensuring speed, accuracy and security.
“With SkyeXperience, you’re in control of your banking needs”, the campaign admonishes while encouraging target audience to enjoy the future benefits of smart living and seamless banking today. The campaign described as a compelling narrative in consumer lifestyle, serves the dual purpose of corporate and products advertising. It provides users the opportunity of a single sign-in into multi platform of products.
According to Otunuga Oladipo, a webmaster and customer of the bank, the bank is not only looking up with the campaign but has also emerged in a pivot position to dictate the pace in the industry in the use of technology with a face. Customers like it the more as it unequivocally put the customer in the control position. “People love power and the recognition too, these work perfectly for the bank in delighting its customers as a futuristic brand,” Oladipo said.
Olalekan Ajayi, is an undergraduate with the National Open University, though does not currently bank with Skye Bank, but he is thrilled with the bank’s exploits in the industry especially it’s renewed pace of advancement. “In my estimation, the bank is going places, its use of technology in service delivery with the customers being the focal point, serves as a great buy-in for the customers and intended target audience. When the need arises, I wouldn’t mind joining its teaming customers,” said Ajayi.
Findings reveal the SkyeXperience app which is available on Google play store and Apple store have both witnessed an upsurge in downloads of Skye Bank’s internet banking application translating that the campaign is gaining momentum by the day.
According to Nduneche Ezurike, Head, Strategic Brand Management, Skye Bank, had explained at the formal launch that SkyeXperience platform is different from others in the market. “The omni-channel, single sign-on across platforms as well as its self service capability which provides convenience for the customer enabling him or her to navigate with little or no assistance from anyone,” he said.
Nduneche further explained that brands these days are built by consumers through social conversations amongst peers and friends mostly on product benefits and brand experience. Hence, the campaign seeks to highlight an affirmation for consumer power by letting them know that they are “in control,” he further explained.
Also finding expression for the campaign, Skye Bank freshly emerged with double awards at the recently held Philips Consulting Web Jurist Awards with bank’s website www.skyebankng.com carting home the “Web Content” and “Accessibility” awards beating top contenders.
