Anambra State’s new governor, Chief Willie Obiano has started picking his team.
Less than 24 hours after he took over from Chief Peter Obi, Chief Obiano this morning swore-in his first set of staff at the Government House, Awka.
They are Oseloka Obaze, who retains the post of Secretary to the State Government (SSG), which he held under ex-Governor Obi; Ikechukwu Asike as the new Chief of Staff and Willie Okoye as Principal Secretary.
The State Solicitor General, Mrs. Tina Emekekwe, administered the oath of office on the new appointees, after which Governor Obiano charged them to be committed and carry out their duties with diligence and the fear of God.
Chief Obiano, who has vowed to expand “the frontiers of excellence” for which his immediate predecessor was known, is expected to announce his cabinet in the next few days.
