Dust haze to persist across the country, says NiMet

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for Tuesday, January 30, 2018:

 NORTHERN STATES: Thick dust haze conditions are expected over most parts of this region during the forecast period. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 25 – 32℃ and 10 – 21℃ respectively.

 CENTRAL STATES: Chances of dust haze conditions are likely over most parts of the region with visibility range of 1 – 3km, localised visibility of less than or equal to 1000 m throughout the forecast period. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 33 – 37℃ and 17 – 20℃ respectively, except over Jos where 26℃ /11℃ day and night temperatures are expected.

 SOUTHERN STATES: Hazy conditions are probable over the coastal cities during the forecast period with chances of early morning mist/fog conditions. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 30 – 37℃ and 16 – 23℃ respectively.
