•Dust haze
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for Monday, January 29, 2018:
NORTHERN STATES: Thick dust haze is expected to prevail over this region. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the ranges of 25 – 30℃ and 10 – 17℃ respectively.
CENTRAL STATES: Dust haze condition with horizontal visibility range of 1 – 3km is anticipated over this region. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 28 – 35℃ and 11 – 21℃ respectively except Jos at 26/11℃.
SOUTHERN STATES: Dust haze condition with horizontal visibility range of 1-3km is anticipated over the Inland cities. Dust haze conditions are expected over the coastal cities in the morning hours with possibilities of partly cloudy skies over Lagos, Yenagoa, Calabar, Eket, Port Harcourt and hazy condition over the rest of the coastal cities in the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 30 – 35℃ and 17 – 23℃ respectively.
