The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted dust haze over the northern part of the Central states of the county on Saturday.

NiMet’s Weather Outlook by its Central Forecast Office in Abuja on Friday also predicted day and night temperatures in the range of 18℃ – 30℃ and 11℃ – 34℃ respectively.

It also predicted moderate dust haze conditions over Lokoja, Makurdi and Ilorin during the forecast period.

The agency said that Southern states would experience dust haze with day and night temperatures in the ranges of 32℃ – 35℃ and 18℃ – 21℃ respectively.

It stated that Northern states would experience thick dust haze over Kano, Katsina, Kaduna, Sokoto, Gusau, Maiduguri and Yelwwa with day and night temperatures in the ranges of 27℃ –  33℃ and 14℃ – 18℃ respectively.

“The country is expected to experience varying degrees of impaired visibility resulting from dust in suspension and already raised dust in Chad Republic, which should affect the country in the next 24 hours,” NiMet said
