The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for Friday, January 12, 2018:

NORTHERN STATES: Dust haze conditions are anticipated over the northwest, while northeast is expected to experience sunny and hazy conditions throughout the forecast period. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 29 – 36℃ and 12 – 19℃ respectively.

CENTRAL STATES: Moderate dust haze is likely over this region throughout the forecast period. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 33 – 36℃ and 14 – 21℃ respectively, except over Jos where 28℃/12℃ day and night temperatures are expected.

SOUTHERN STATES: This region is expected to experience mist/fog conditions during the morning hours. Later into the day, some parts of the region are anticipated to experience partly cloudy to cloudy conditions, while light showers are anticipated over Ijebu-Ode, Benin, Warri, Yenagoa, Port Harcourt and its environs during the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 33 – 37℃ and 18 – 25℃ respectively
