The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Wednesday, December 20, 2017:

NORTHERN STATES: Sunny and hazy conditions are envisaged over this region throughout the forecast period. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 32 – 37℃ and 14 – 19℃ respectively.

CENTRAL STATES: Sunny and hazy conditions are anticipated over this region except for Makurdi, Lokoja and Lafia in which partly cloudy to sunny conditions are expected to prevail in the morning hours. There are indications for localised rain showers over Makurdi, Lokoja and Lafia axis while partly cloudy conditions are expected over the remaining parts of this region in the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 32 – 36℃ and 16 – 22℃ respectively, except over Jos where 30℃/15℃ day and night temperature are expected.

SOUTHERN STATES: Partly cloudy mornings are expected over the inland states, cloudy conditions in the afternoon/evening hours with slim prospects of isolated thunderstorms over Enugu, Abakaliki, Akure and Ado-Ekiti areas. The coastal cities are expected to be in cloudy morning situation with chances of localised thunderstorms over Uyo, Eket, Calabar, Port Harcourt, Yenagoa, Lagos and Ijebu-Ode in the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 33 – 36℃ and 22 – 25℃ respectively.
