In a statement signed by its Chairman, Comrade Adeniyi, Alimi Sulaiman, on Monday, the group maintained that Aregbesola’s administration lacks accountability, probity, and transparency in the management of government’s business.

The group said that the government has been characterised by mismanagement of the state resources in the last seven years citing what it called a debilitating debt profile of the state, amounting to over N400 billion.

It alleged that the state has been using the sum of N2.4 billion of its monthly allocation to service the loan incurred by this government since 2014 whereas, the projects to which the loans were  attached might not be completed before the end of the Aregbesola administration in 2018.

It said: “All the acclaimed developmental concepts of Rauf Aregbesola are meant to surcharge the good people of Osun State and divert huge part of the funds earmarked for the development of the state into private pockets.”

The group also accused the Governor of neglecting the welfare of the people by wasting part of the meager resources of the state on the hiring of a helicopter for the unnecessary journey that has no bearing in the governance of the state.

On the seven years anniversary broadcast by Aregbesola, CSCEOS stated that the speech was full of deceit and falsehood, characterised by self-praising and rating that made it lack substance.
