Enugu State Governor, Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, and the Group Managing Director of Fidelity Bank, Mr. Nnamdi Okonkwo, will lead the pack of dignitaries at this year’s Brand and Marketing Conference in Enugu.
The annual event which is the 5th in the series, organised by Brand Journalists Association of Nigeria (BJAN) is scheduled to hold at Nike Lake Hotels, Enugu from November 2 to 4.
Aimed at bringing together seasoned industry analysts and stakeholders to discuss emerging issues facing the marketing industry and the country at large, the conference which is themed: ‘Corporate Governance, Public Accountability and the Challenge of Repositioning Nigeria’, is expected to be declared open by the Executive Governor of Enugu State, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.
The Governor, who is the special guest of honour, will also deliver a keynote address.
Speaking on the conference, BJAN President, Goddie Ofose, said the conference is expected to feature experts with the aim of proffering solutions to the various challenges being faced by the country.
“This conference is coming at the right time. Amidst various crisis in the country ranging from agitation for secession to cries of restructuring, it is going to provide the platform to discuss solutions especially as it relates to corporate governance,” Ofose said.
Prof. Tony Onyichi, Professor of Public Administration, University of Nigeria, Nsukka, is also expected to deliver a paper among others.
The annual conference is aimed at galvanising professional and excellence in brand reporting.
Held last year in Lagos, the theme of the conference was ‘Mobile Money in Nigeria: Challenges, Opportunities and Threats’.
