The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Saturday, October 7, 2017:

NORTHERN STATES: This region is expected to be under partly cloudy to cloudy conditions in the morning. In the afternoon/evening hours, scattered thunderstorms are anticipated over some cities like Kano, Nguru, Gusau, Maiduguri, Sokoto and Yelwa. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 33 – 39℃ and 23 – 26℃ respectively.

CENTRAL STATES: Cloudy morning is expected with chances of thunderstorms over Ibi, Abuja, Lafia, Jalingo and Benue. As the day progresses, thunderstorms/rain activities are to prevail over the region. Day and Night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 29 – 34℃ and 22 – 25℃ respectively, except over Jos where 29℃ and 19℃ day and night temperatures are expected.

SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy conditions are expected over the region in the morning with chances of localised thunderstorms over Uyo, Calabar, Lagos, Yenagoa, Port Harcourt, Enugu, Umuahia and Abakaliki. In the afternoon/evening hours, scattered thunderstorms with moderate rains are anticipated over most places. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 30 – 34℃ and 21 – 25℃ respectively.
