The Delta State Government has approved the establishment of another secondary school in the state. The approval was given at Tuesday’s State Executive Council meeting.
Speaking after the meeting, the state Commissioner for Information, Mr. Patrick Ukah, gave the name of the school as Ovwodokpokpor Secondary School, Ovwodokpokpor-Olomu in Ughelli South Local Government Area.
News Express reports that the State Executive Council recently approved the establishment of 24 schools made up of 16 secondary and eight primary schools.
Mr. Ukah further disclosed that the Council also approved the financing of the proposed new Central Secretariat Complex to ensure that state workers get a conducive working environment.
The complex is expected to accommodate all government offices presently being housed in rented apartments in the state capital.
