Police promotes 233 officers in Delta

The Nigeria Police Force has promoted 233 Police Officers in Delta State.

The Commissioner of Police, Delta State Command, Mr. Zanna Ibrahim, at the decoration of the newly promoted officers in Asaba said that promotion is tied to hard work and loyalty that any officer who is not hardworking and loyal will fall out.

The CP tasked the newly promoted officers not to reason that it is business as usual, because it is certainly said that one good turned deserve another.

Also, he said the promotion should showcase their ultimate prize and it is an additional responsibilities, adding that it is their duty to protect lives and properties of the citizens.

“Whatever you do on the street will tell well about us, therefore we must check the excesses of Policemen. The fundamental rights of the citizens must be protected. Working with good mind and attitude will attract cordial relationship with the members of the public to give out rightful information to the Police and you at watch by the public,” he said.

He also stated that officers should improve themselves intellectually by engaging themselves in reading books, newspapers among others to upgrade themselves.

Meanwhile, 220 Inspectors were promoted to Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASP), nine Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) were also promoted to Superintendent (SP) as well as four Superintendent to Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP).
