NiMet predicts another rainy day in parts of the country

 The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Friday, September 9, 2017:

NORTHERN REGION: In the morning, this region is expected to be cloudy except over Yelwa axis where there are chances of isolated thunderstorms. Later in the afternoon, places like Yelwa, Kano, Southern Bornu, Gombe, Bauchi, Kaduna, Zaria and environs have prospects of isolated thunderstorms. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 29 – 32℃ and 20 – 23℃ respectively.

CENTRAL REGION: Cloudy morning is expected over this region with a few places such as Abuja and Lokoja expecting isolated rains. Later in the day, isolated thunderstorms and rains are anticipated over places like Jos, Abuja, Lafia, Minna, Bida and environs. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 28 – 30℃ and 22 – 23℃ respectively, except over Jos where 26℃ and 17℃ day and night temperatures are expected.

SOUTH-EAST REGION: Cloudy morning is expected over the region except over Obudu and Ikom axis where there are chances of isolated rains while widespread rains are anticipated later in the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 29 – 31℃ and 22 – 23℃ respectively.
