Members of the Fresh Congress Grouprty (PDP) Wednesday said the party will embark on a rally in the 21 local government areas in the state to sell the party’s candidate, Mr. Oseloka Obaze, to the electorate.

Addressing journalists in Awka, the state chairman of the group, Pastor Emma Obiorah said the idea was to help mobilise the grassroots for the party’s candidate.

They called on aggrieved members of PDP who abandoned the party for other parties to return back, saying the party has been repositioned.

The group further commended both the state Caretaker Committee of the party led by Prof ABC Nwosu and the National Working Committee (NWC) of the PDP for conducting a rancour-free primary.

According to the group, it was the first time a rancour-free election was held in Anambra PDP, adding that such spirit, if maintained could lead the party to victory come Nov 18.

“Now that an elected candidate has emerged, we join him to solicit the help of other contestants, stakeholders and the entire Anambrarians to see him through to the Anambra State Government House come March, 2018.

“We the grassroots masterminds of PDP in Anambra State will on our own take the PDP flag bearer, His Excellency Oseloka Obaze to the entire voting population of Anambra State.”

“We welcome him on board and do pray he will use his good office to enable PDP take its pride of place in Anambra State.

“We will hold a mass rally in all the 21 LGAs of the state at the same time, the same day to mobilise the electorate and educate them on the electoral value of this seasoned and disciplined democrat of our times.

“We therefore enjoin the faithful members of PDP who left the party due to the acrimony of the past in the PDP to come back because the house has been put in order.”
