Rivers cancels August sanitation exercise

 This month’s Sanitation Exercise which was earlier scheduled to hold on Saturday, August 26, 2017 has been cancelled.

The Sole Administrator of Rivers State Waste Management Agency (RIWAMA), Bro. Felix Obuah, announced the cancellation of the sanitation exercise in a statement issued today in Port Harcourt, the state capital.

He, however, urged those living and doing businesses in the state to keep their surroundings clean.

The statement signed by Jerry Needam, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Sole Administrator, also advised residents of the state “to cultivate good sanitary habits by ensuring that their surroundings are clean at all times and unblock their gutters and drainage systems to allow for free flow of water.”
