The Biafra Nations Youth League (BNYL) has come out in support of the quit notice issued Northerners by Niger Delta Militants.

National Leader of BNYL, Comrade Princewill Obuka, said the decision to back the quit notice was in reaction to Arewa Youth maintaining their stand on Igbo quit notice.

“BNYL is in support of the quit notice issued them, we will not beg them to reverse their conscience for whatsoever reason, Dangote and Dantata invested more here than in the north, the Northerners own 90% of oil wells in Imo, Abia Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom and other areas in the Bight of Biafra.

“Meanwhile, Northern Youths in a recent statement by Yerima disclosed that the Northern elders ordered for the quit notice and it is being backed up 100%,” BNYL said in a statement issued on Sunday.

It warned against the widely circulated hate song in the North, which it said could spark violence against Igbos and minorities from the defunct Eastern Region, and which could lead to reprisal.

“Any attempt to use violence against our people in the North will not be condoned as we will react swiftly,” BNYL warned.
