Contrary to claims in some quarters, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has not violated any court order or bail conditions.
His lawyer, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, made the clarification on Wednesday. Ejiofor, who spoke during an interview with Channels Television in Umuahia, the Abia State capital, insisted that it is within the fundamental rights his client to receive and interact with people.
He maintained that his client has not instigated any violence.
Ejiofor noted that though the agitation for Biafra is not unlawful, his primary concern is what the charge was before the court as there is no substantial evidence to charge the IPOB leader.
