The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested a former governor of Jigawa State, Senator Saminu Turaki.
The former governor was arrested by operatives of the anti-graft agency today afternoon in Abuja at the venue of the public presentation of a book on Brigadier Zakariya Maimalari.
Turaki had been declared wanted by the EFCC for allegedly failing to present himself for trial on corruption charges since 2011.
Corruption charges had been filed against him at the Federal High Court in Dutse, the Jigawa State capital. (Channels TV)
