•Suspected criminals recently paraded Anambra Police at Awkuzu.

The Anambra Police Command has arrested 11 armed robbery suspects said to be terrorising residents of Idemili North Local Government Area and environs.  Items recovered from the suspects include, six locally made guns.

Making the disclosure at his office in Ogidi, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in Ogidi, Mark Ijarafu said: “We have arrested 11 armed robbers terrorising this area and six locally made guns recovered from them.

“There will be no hiding place for such people here. It is either they leave this place or they will meet their waterloo.

“We’ll go to their hide-outs and we are in the trail of those who killed a Police Inspector at Ugwunwasike and other places.”

He said that the suspects have been handed over to the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) Awkuzu, for further investigation.

While assuring that the identity of any informant would be treated with uttermost confidence, Ijarafu urged the people of the area to always avail the Police with useful information that would enable the force to flush out undesirable elements in the area.
