Chief Financial Officer, Transcorp Hotels PLC, Mr. Adekunle Elumaro, has stated that for productivity to happen in a man’s life, it has to be fertile, and a life that is not productive enough will not only remain stagnant but totally go down the drain.

Elumaro disclosed this while speaking to the youths of Living Faith Church, Gwarimpa, Abuja, on Sunday, during a motivational talk session on how to maximise opportunities in their different careers and endeavours, adding that their vision will power business opportunities.

He further emphasised that the youths must begin to use their minds to see because when one’s mind is not working, such person is not living.

In his words: “It is better to be physically blind than to be mentally blind. You can still help a physically blind person than one year who is mentally blind. As much as your mind can conceive, you can receive and you must always act but not give excuses. It is better to fail while acting instead of not acting at all.

Alluding to the Bible, he emphasised on Genesis 13:14, where he explained that any endeavour that will lead to a gain in life is business. He said the urge to sleep is practically the urge to destruction, educating them that the first step of taking step is to be angry.

“To succeed in life, you need anger but need humility so that you can move,” he added.

While charging them to always engage their minds on any available opportunities, he said opportunities oscillate, adding that “your mind is the headquarter of your life and destiny because if you see opportunity today and when you don’t make use of it, you may not see it again.” He added that “business opportunities have regard for time and if it’s in your front, you have to take it because you may not meet it there again.

“Opportunities are always available. There is opportunity and difficulty in every situation but only one who is positive will see the opportunities therein. No vision come fully packaged. Life is a manual and you have to work at it,” he submitted. Elumaro appealed to them to be good at mathematics of life and keep their minds to open to opportunities, saying they must be able to spot opportunities at every given time because there is always a particular business for every location.

While maintaining that, in life, nobody succeed without perseverance, Elumaro brought to their consciousness that “to succeed in life is not accidental, or else you will fail suddenly, adding that success is a process and that is why you need to cultivate your own success. “There is no second chance of life. Once you fail, you have failed totally,” he added.
