Delta Police nabs suspected kidnapper and ritualist, impounds human parts

The police in Delta State has arrested a suspected ritualist and kidnapper in Amai believed to be a member of a syndicate responsible for abducting people, killing them and trading in human parts.

The State Police Command confirmed in a statement that “on Sunday 4th June 2017, at about 10:30am, one Felix Inalu Chibuogwu, 45 years old, of No. 16 Agbede Street, Amai, a suspected member of a kidnapping/ritualists syndicate operating in Amai, was apprehended at Abavo while trying to escape to Lagos.

“Found concealed in his two bags of garri and two 4-litres jerry cans stocked with substances suspected to be human parts in a preservative fluid.

“The arrest is connected to investigation of cases of missing persons in the intractable land disputes between Umuebu/Amai/Eziokpo/Obiaruku communities in Ukwuani LGA.”

The statement added that investigation is ongoing to unravel other members of the syndicate.
